This is a vintage figurine of a bird made from white metal metal which in my opinion is silver filigree. I have had similar items before. It has nice cloisonne enamelling on its individual feathers along with some filigree detailing at the tips of its wings. It has hilarious big eyes that look sort of out of place considering how nice of a piece this really is. It does come with a little base which it looks like someone has tried to glue the bird onto since there is some residue on the bird's foot and on the base piece near the little hole. Comes in its original box which has a nice patterned silk fabric finish. No maker's marks from what I can see. There is a sticker on the front of the box which reads Made in China.
Please see photographs provided for more details and visual confirmation of condition for yourself. Normal signs of age and use wear including some surface scuffs etc. As mentioned, there are some areas of what I can only assume is glue residue. There are some scuffs on the top of the base piece where the bird has been moved and the metalware has scratched the wood. The bird AND base measures approx.
4 and 1/8 inches tall x 4 inches x 2 and 1/2 inches. Overall it is a very nice vintage well made EAGLE ornament with a small stand which will need re-gluing back on if you were to put it on display! My stock ref : #T223/26523 in Asian vases cabinet. Scale is usually an English 1 penny coin which is 20mm in diameter which is just short of 7/8ths of an inch in diameter, or a universal Coke can, and we all know how big those are. In the title or description it means.Condition which may have scuffs, scratches and damage. In relation to all my listings it does not mean " about fine ". I have used A/F for " as found " for 45 years.
